Deaf Can Drive: A Ride with Peter

Neighbours | 4:06 mins

“A Deaf driver? Are you sure it’s safe?”

In Singapore, deaf and hard-of-hearing people are allowed to drive. (This is a right denied to deaf people in some other countries though.)

With over 2000 completed rides, Peter can surely – and safely – get you to your destination. He drives part-time on weekday nights and weekends as an extra source of income.

Peter is one of Grab’s growing number of Deaf driver-partners in Singapore. Now when you meet them, you know how to sign “thank you”! 😊

This video is a paid partnership with Grab, inspired by the role of technology for good.
