Pizza workshops, pasta classes and harmonica performances – they’re not held in a mall, but at Taman Jurong Hawker Center. Once every few months, children and their parents gather to attend a pizza/pasta dough rolling and making workshop just outside this “ulu (remote) hawker stall”.

Apart from innovating with fusion food, this young hawker pair does “a lot of different stuff” to breathe new life into our hawker culture. At their stall, not only do this hawker pair sell fusion pizzas, pastas with a ‘wok hey’ (charred taste), they also breathe new life into our hawker culture by doing “a lot of different stuff”.
