If you are a fan of Cantopop, you will know of the boy band, “Four Heavenly Kings”.  Singapore has her very own version of the “Four Heavenly Kings” but they aren’t singers, they’re fritters! Meet Ngoh Hiang (five spice rolls), Liver Roll, Egg Slice and Guan Chang (filled sausage).

China Street Fritters have been selling these 4 items since the 1930s. Run by the Ng brothers and their families, the fritters are handmade fresh daily. Their customers and the media have dubbed their food as the “Four Heavenly Kings”, as a way to celebrate their dedication to preserve the traditional way of making fritters.
